The growth and scope of modern technology have been enhancing the need, demand, and usage of intelligent systems in numerous fields and industries worldwide. The Faculty of Engineering's Department of Computer Science offers a four-year bachelor's which seeks to provide the students with the essential skillsets and competencies which are required to navigate the scope of the field.
The program follows a uniquely designed curriculum that seeks to meet the practical needs of every student and to provide the most enriching practical and industrial exposure to the scope of the dynamic world of computer science. Through the program, students will get to learn all the essential elements relating to the teaching of machine systems, the ability to solve problems using complex algorithms, and a lot more.
The department of computer science is equipped with a total of 5 computer laboratories that are strategically designed to provide students with the most vital practical training exposure along with a supercomputer facility that seeks to provide the students with the most effective and efficient platform for high-end computing and data processing.

Mode Of Admission
Direct Admission through MGMU - CET
Eligibility Criteria
Maharashtra State Candidate.
- The Candidate should be an Indian National and having domicile of Maharashtra state and/or born in Maharashtra state.
- Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies, and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and the candidate should have appeared in MGMU-CET 2023/ MHT-CET 2023/ PERA CET 2023/ JEE (Main) Paper-I 2023 and should obtain non zero score in MGMU-CET 2023/ MHT-CET 2023/ PERA CET 2023/ JEE (Main) Paper-I 2023. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non-zero positive score in MGMU-CET 2023 over the candidates who obtained non-zero score in MHT-CET 2023/ PERA CET 2023.
- Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
OR
All India Candidates
- The Candidate should be an Indian National.
- Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies , and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and candidate should have appeared in MGMU-CET 2023/ MHT-CET 2023/ PERA CET 2023/ JEE (Main) Paper-I 2023 and should obtain non-zero score in MGMU-CET 2023/ MHT-CET 2023/ PERA CET 2023/ JEE (Main) Paper-I 2023. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non-zero positive score in JEE Mains Paper-I over the candidates who obtained non-zero score in MGMU-CET 2023/ MHT-CET 2023/ PERA CET 2023.

Direct Second Year Admission 2023-24
Eligibility conditions and requirements for admissions for Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry)- Engineering /Technology
For Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate and All India Candidature Candidate
- The Candidate should be an Indian National.
- Passed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent
- Passed B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science) Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject. Provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second year subjects.
- Passed D.Voc.( Diploma of Vocation) Stream in the same or allied sector.
- In the above cases, a suitable bridge Courses, if required such as in Mathematics may be conducted
- Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority.
