Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, May 3: The ‘Kaleidoscope 2026’ Fashion Show, organised by the Leonardo Da Vinci School of Design of MGM University, concluded with an enthusiastic response from students.

The inauguration of the ‘Kaleidoscope 2026 Fashion Show’ was held at the university’s Rukmini Auditorium in the presence of Rajnandini Pawar, the first runner-up of the Femina Miss India competition. The inaugural ceremony was graced by MGM University Chancellor Shri Ankushrao Kadam, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Vilas Sapkal, Registrar Dr. Ashish Gadekar, judges Nilesh Gham and Mrs. Anvita Agrawal, Director Prof. Shubha Mahajan, faculty members, students, and other dignitaries.

Students enthusiastically participated in this annual fashion show. The event featured participation from 20 final-year B.Design (Fashion Design) students, along with 12 students from Advanced Diploma and Certificate courses. A total of 84 unique and attractive garments were showcased during the event. Collections based on themes such as “Mumbai Architecture,” “Stranger Things,” “Rajasthancha Rajdwar,” “Lippan Art,” “Chandelier,” “Stitched Memories,” and “Cottage Garden” were presented on the runway.

Faculty members Anjali Khot, Sujit Gulwe, Shivani Khedkar, and Srushti Ambulgekar, along with students and staff members, contributed significantly to the organization of the event. The show was compered by Aditi Sharma and Aamna.

Rajnandini Pawar said, “Each one of us has a dream, and family support, especially from parents, plays a vital role in fulfilling those dreams. Dr. Ashish Gadekar, Registrar, stated, “I warmly welcome Rajnandini Pawar, the pride of our city, to MGM University. Around a decade ago, the Leonardo Da Vinci School of Design was established with the aim of shaping students into capable and creative designers. Through this fashion show, final-year students are provided with an opportunity every year to present their designs.”

Judge Anvita Agrawal said, “It is truly a pleasure for me to be present at this fashion show organized by MGM University. I was delighted to witness such creative and enthusiastic participants and designers. Seeing a fashion show of such a high standard in a city like Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar was a pleasant surprise. Every participant here has effectively showcased their potential as future designers. Fashion is a continuous and evolving process.”

Judge Nilesh Gham remarked, “I have attended many fashion shows, but the collections presented today were truly outstanding. All the designers showcased exceptional talent and creativity. The work done by the students here was highly remarkable.”

Prof. Shubha Mahajan, Director, said, “I warmly welcome everyone to this annual fashion show. This event reflects creativity, determination, innovation, and progress. Our aim is to shape students not only as designers but also as responsible, innovative, and thoughtful individuals. The School of Design provides interdisciplinary education, and its strong industry connection offers students a broader perspective. The designers here are also working responsibly while understanding the importance of sustainability.”

एमजीएममध्ये ‘कलायडोस्कोप २०२६’ फॅशन शो उत्साहात संपन्न

छत्रपती संभाजीनगर, दि.३ : महात्मा गांधी मिशन विद्यापीठाच्या लिओनार्दो दा विंची स्कूल ऑफ डिझाईनच्या (एलएसओडी) वतीने आयोजित करण्यात आलेला ‘कलायडोस्कोप २०२६’ फॅशन शो विद्यार्थ्यांच्या उत्स्फूर्त प्रतिसादात संपन्न झाला.

विद्यापीठातील रुक्मिणी सभागृहात ‘कलायडोस्कोप २०२६ फॅशन शो’चे उद्घाटन फेमिना मिस इंडिया स्पर्धेतील प्रथम उपविजेत्या राजनंदिनी पवार यांच्या प्रमुख उपस्थितीत संपन्न झाले. उद्घाटन सोहळ्यास एमजीएम विद्यापीठाचे कुलपती अंकुशराव कदम, कुलगुरू प्रा.डॉ.विलास सपकाळ, कुलसचिव डॉ.आशिष गाडेकर, परीक्षक निलेश घम, परीक्षक श्रीमती अन्विता अग्रवाल, संचालिका प्रा.शुभा महाजन, प्राध्यापक, विद्यार्थी व सर्व संबंधित उपस्थित होते.

या वार्षिक फॅशन शो मध्ये महाविद्यालयातील विद्यार्थ्यांनी उत्स्फुर्तपणे सहभाग नोंदविला. यामध्ये अंतिम वर्ष बी.डिझाईन (फॅशन डिझाईन) च्या २० विद्यार्थ्यांसह अॅडव्हान्स डिप्लोमा आणि सर्टिफिकेट अभ्यासक्रमातील १२ विद्यार्थ्यांचा सहभाग होता. विद्यार्थ्यांनी एकूण ८४ वैविध्यपूर्ण आणि आकर्षक गारमेंटसचे सादरीकरण यावेळी केले. ‘मुंबई आर्किटेक्चर’, ‘स्ट्रेंजर थिंग्स’, ‘राजस्थानचा राजद्वार’, ‘लिपन आर्ट’, ‘चँडेलियर’, ‘स्टिच्ड मेमरीज’ आणि ‘कॉटेज गार्डन’ यांसारख्या विविध थीम्सवर आधारित कलेक्शन या शोमध्ये सादर करण्यात आले.

या फॅशन शो आयोजनामध्ये अंजली खोत, सुजीत गुळवे, शिवानी खेडकर, सृष्टी अंबुलगेकर प्राध्यापक, विद्यार्थी व सर्व संबंधितांनी योगदान दिले. या फॅशन शो’चे सुत्रसंचालन अदिती शर्मा आणि आमना यांनी केले.

राजनंदिनी पवार, प्रथम उपविजेत्या, फेमिना मिस इंडिया स्पर्धा : “आपल्या प्रत्येकाच्या मनात एक स्वप्न असते आणि त्या स्वप्नांच्या पूर्ततेसाठी कुटुंब, विशेषतः पालकांची साथ अत्यंत महत्त्वाची असते. योग्य सपोर्ट सिस्टिम मिळाल्यास कोणतीही उंची गाठणे शक्य होते. एमजीएम विद्यापीठासारख्या अत्याधुनिक सुविधा असलेल्या ठिकाणी विद्यार्थ्यांनी प्रत्येक संधीचा लाभ घेत विविध कार्यक्रम व स्पर्धांमध्ये सक्रिय सहभाग घ्यावा. ही स्वप्न पाहण्याची आणि ती साकार करण्याची जागा आहे. ‘माझी मुळेच माझी ताकद आहेत’ या विचाराने प्रेरित होत, आपल्या मुळांशी नाळ जोडून पुढे जाणे गरजेचे आहे. आयुष्यात पुढे जाताना रचनात्मक टीका स्वीकारत, प्रत्येक अनुभवातून शिकत राहिले पाहिजे. कोणतीही संधी दवडू न देता. आवड आणि जिद्दीने आयुष्य जगताना स्वतःवर विश्वास ठेवणे हे यशाचे खरे गमक आहे. आपण सर्वजण स्वप्न पाहणारे आहोत आणि ती पूर्ण करण्याची ताकदही आपल्यात आहे, फक्त त्या दिशेने दृढ निश्चयाने वाटचाल करत राहण्याची गरज आहे.”

प्रा. डॉ. विलास सपकाळ, कुलगुरू : “स्कूल ऑफ डिझाईनमधील सर्व तरुण डिझायनर्सचे मी मनःपूर्वक स्वागत करतो. स्वप्ने फक्त पाहायची नसतात, तर ती डोळे उघडून पाहून त्यांची पूर्तता करण्यासाठी कठोर परिश्रम करणे आवश्यक असते. ‘कलायडोस्कोप २०२६’ या फॅशन शोमध्ये आज सर्व डिझायनर्सनी अत्यंत उत्कृष्ट कलेक्शन सादर केले. फॅशन क्षेत्रात आज ज्या मॉडेल्स आणि डिझायनर्सनी सादरीकरण केले, ते निश्चितच कौतुकास्पद आहे.”

डॉ.आशिष गाडेकर, कुलसचिव, “आपल्या शहराचा अभिमान असलेल्या राजनंदिनी पवार यांचे मी एमजीएम विद्यापीठात मनःपूर्वक स्वागत करतो. सुमारे दशकापूर्वी लिओनार्दो दा विंची स्कूल ऑफ डिझाईनची स्थापना करण्यात आली असून या माध्यमातून विद्यार्थ्यांना सक्षम आणि सर्जनशील डिझायनर्स म्हणून घडविण्याचे काम सुरू आहे. या फॅशन शोच्या माध्यमातून अंतिम वर्षातील विद्यार्थ्यांना त्यांच्या डिझाईन्स सादर करण्याची संधी दरवर्षी उपलब्ध करून दिली जाते.”

अन्विता अग्रवाल, परीक्षक : “आज एमजीएम विद्यापीठाच्या या फॅशन शो’मध्ये उपस्थित राहणे माझ्यासाठी खरोखर आनंदाची बाब आहे. इतके सर्जनशील आणि उत्साही सहभागी व डिझायनर्स पाहून मला खूप आनंद झाला. छत्रपती संभाजीनगरसारख्या शहरात इतक्या उच्च दर्जाचा फॅशन शो पाहून मला आश्चर्याचा आनंददायी धक्का बसला. येथे सहभागी झालेल्या प्रत्येकाने आपल्या भविष्यातील डिझायनर म्हणून असलेल्या क्षमतेची प्रभावी झलक सादर केली आहे. फॅशन ही एक सतत सुरू राहणारी प्रक्रिया आहे.”

निलेश घम, परीक्षक : “मी अनेक फॅशन शोमध्ये उपस्थित राहिलो आहे; मात्र आजच्या शोमध्ये सादर करण्यात आलेले कलेक्शन खरोखरच अप्रतिम होते. सर्व डिझायनर्सनी आपली उत्कृष्ट आणि प्रतिभासंपन्न कामगिरी सादर केली. येथे विद्यार्थ्यांनी केलेली कामगिरी अत्यंत उल्लेखनीय होती.”

प्रा. शुभा महाजन, संचालिका : “या वार्षिक फॅशन शोमध्ये मी सर्वांचे मनःपूर्वक स्वागत करते. हा कार्यक्रम सर्जनशीलता, जिद्द, नवोपक्रम आणि प्रगती यांचे प्रतिबिंब आहे. विद्यार्थ्यांना केवळ डिझायनर म्हणून नव्हे, तर जबाबदार, नवोन्मेषी आणि विचारशील व्यक्तिमत्त्व म्हणून घडविण्याचा आमचा प्रयत्न आहे. डिझाईन्स स्कूलमध्ये आंतरशाखीय शिक्षण उपलब्ध करून दिले जात असून येथे उद्योगाशी तयार असलेला दुवा यामुळे विद्यार्थ्यांना व्यापक दृष्टी मिळते. तसेच शाश्वततेचे महत्त्व समजून घेऊन हे सगळे डिझायनर्स जबाबदारीने काम करीत आहेत.”
