Prof. K. K. Aggarwal,

President, South Asian University, New Delhi

Prof. K. K. Aggarwal is an Engineer by training and has been an accomplished academician and administrator. He received his PhD in Reliability Evaluation and Optimization from Kurukshetra University, Haryana. He pursued his Master's Degree from the same university securing first position. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Panjab University, Chandigarh as the topper.
Prof. Aggarwal has served the National Board of Accreditation, India, as its former Chairman. He was the Founding Vice Chancellor of Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, where he served for ten years from 1998 to 2008, leading from the front. Before this, he was the Pro Vice-Chancellor of Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar, for three years. He is also the former Chairman of the Board of Governors, MNIT, Jaipur.

Man Mohan Sharma FREng (born May 1, 1937 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan) is an Indian chemical engineer. He earned Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (1958) from UDCT (ICT) and subsequently MSc (Tech.) in 1960. Then he went overseas to receive his Ph.D. (Chemical Engineering) degree (1964) from the Cambridge University, Cambridge, UK under the tutelage of Prof. P. V. Danckwerts.
He has been awarded the Leverhulme Medal of the Royal Society, the S.S. Bhatnagar Prize in Engineering Sciences (1973), FICCI Award (1981), the Vishwakarma medal of the Indian National Science Academy (1985), G.M. Modi Award (1991), and Meghnad Saha Medal (1994) among others. In 1990, Professor Sharma became the first Indian engineer to be elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society, London. He is a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore, Indian National Science Academy, Delhi, Honorary Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, Allahabad and The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), Trieste

Instructions and Process

  • Important Instructions
  • Convocation Process
  • Mobile phones to be turned off at the Convocation venue.
  • Show photo ID proof at registration counter.
  • Do not stay at registration and robing area for long.
  • Move in the procession as instructed.
  • Maintain silence and discipline during the Convocation ceremony.
  • Do not leave the venue/change seat till the Convocation ceremony is over.
  • Co-operate with the support staff.

    Registration & Robing

  • Report to your respective institute's registration counter at 7:30 a.m.
  • Deposit refundable security deposit of amount Rs.1000/- in CASH (Online payment will NOT be accepted).
  • Collect robe & ID cards (with Seat No.).

    Procession

  • Move for the procession at 8:15 a.m.
  • Parents should occupy seats as per the allotment before 9:00 a.m.
  • Stand in procession at your allotted zone at 08:15 a.m.
  • Maintain silence and discipline during procession.

    Convocation

  • Occupy your seat as per the allotment.
  • Move to the designated place for conferment of the degree by the hands of the dignitaries.
  • Diploma/ Certificate will be given at your respective Institute.
  • Move for the group photo after the ceremony at the stadium stand with the allotted ID.

    Return of Robe and Collection of Deposit

  • Move to your registration counter and return the robe.
  • Collect the coupon for lunch.
  • Collect deposited amount.

Proceed for the Lunch at JNEC Lawns.
