Program Outline

The BFA Drawing and Painting program at MGM University's Leonardo Da Vinci School of Design offers immersive education in traditional and contemporary approaches to visual expression through two-dimensional media. Students develop technical mastery in observational drawing, color theory, composition, and diverse painting techniques while exploring personal artistic vision through intensive studio practice, guided critiques, and conceptual development under the mentorship of practicing artists and educators.

The curriculum balances foundational skills with experimental approaches, preparing graduates for careers as professional artists, educators, and creative practitioners. With specialized courses in figurative representation, abstract expression, mixed media techniques, and digital painting, students build cohesive portfolios reflecting their artistic identity and conceptual interests. Through gallery exhibitions, artist residencies, and interdisciplinary collaborations, graduates emerge equipped with the technical proficiency, critical thinking abilities, and professional practices needed to sustain meaningful artistic careers and contribute to contemporary visual culture.
