NSS Camp of MGM's JNEC College conducted at Balgram orphanage
NSS volunteers perform street plays to spread awareness on social issues
The seven-day residential camp of the National Service Scheme (NSS) of Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College, MGM University was conducted at Balagram Orphanage, Govindwadi (Gevrai). The camp was inaugurated in the presence of Shri Santosh Garje, Founder of Balgram.
Lectures of pathbreakers from various fields including the founder of Balagram Orphanage, Santosh Garje, the founder of Infant India Dutta Bargaje, retired judge Neelkanth Deshmukh, Dr. Sahadhan Ingle, Prof. Sharad Sadaphule were organized during the camp.
The NSS volunteers did physical work at the orphanage and performed street plays to create awareness among villagers on different social issues such as deaddiction, nature conservation, dowry, mobile phone addiction, water conservation, road safety, child marriage etc. A special ‘Rang De Basanti’ was celebrated on the occasion of Holi.
The volunteers bid farewell to the villagers in an emotional atmosphere. Expressing their feelings they said that the camp inspired them to work for the country and the society, understand the problems of common citizens, especially from rural India and work to the best of their capacity to solve them.
The camp was conducted under the guidance of the Principal of JNEC Dr. H.H. Shinde, Vice-Principal Dr. V.B. Musande, Head of MGM University’s NSS Wing, Dr. R.R. Deshmukh, NSS Program Officer Dr.G.C. Lomte.
एमजीएम’च्या जेएनईसी महाविद्यालयाचे एनएसएस शिबिर यशस्वीपणे संपन्न
छत्रपती संभाजीनगर, दि. ११ : महात्मा गांधी मिशन विद्यापीठाच्या जवाहरलाल नेहरू अभियांत्रिकी महाविद्यालयाचे राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजनेचे (NSS) सात दिवसीय निवासी शिबिर गोविंदवाडी (गेवराई) येथील बालग्राम अनाथाश्रम येथे यशस्वीपणे संपन्न झाले. या शिबिराचे उद्घाटन बालग्राम संस्थेचे संस्थापक संतोष गर्जे यांच्या प्रमुख उपस्थितीत संपन्न झाले.
शिबिरामध्ये बालग्राम अनाथाश्रमाचे संस्थापक संतोष गर्जे, इन्फंट इंडियाचे संस्थापक दत्ता बारगजे, निवृत्त न्यायाधीश नीलकंठ देशमुख, डॉ. समाधान इंगळे, प्रा. शरद सदाफुले आदि मान्यवरांची विविध विषयांवर व्याख्याने आयोजित करण्यात आली होती.
या शिबिरामध्ये स्वयंसेवकांनी श्रमदानासह व्याख्याने आणि पथनाट्यांद्वारे सामाजिक विषयांवर परिसरातील नागरिकांचे प्रबोधन केले. व्यसनमुक्ती, निसर्ग संवर्धन, हुंडाबळी, मोबाईलचे व्यसन, जलसंधारण, रस्ता सुरक्षा, बालविवाह आदि विषयांवर स्वयंसेवकांनी नागरिकांचे प्रबोधन केले. तसेच होळीच्या निमित्ताने ‘रंग दे बसंती’ हा कार्यक्रम साजरा केला.
सामाजिक बांधिलकी जपत समाजासाठी आणि देशासाठी कार्यरत राहण्याची प्रेरणा देणारे हे शिबिर होते. विशेषत: खऱ्या अर्थाने ग्रामीण भारत आम्हांला जवळून समजून घेता आला. सामान्य नागरिकांच्या समस्या जाणून घेत त्या सोडविण्यासाठी आम्ही आमच्या परीने कार्यरत राहू, अशा भावना व्यक्त करीत स्वयंसेवकांनी ग्रामस्थांचा निरोप घेतला. महाविद्यालयाचे प्राचार्य डॉ.एच.एच.शिंदे, उपप्राचार्या डॉ.व्ही.बी.मुसांडे, विद्यापीठाचे एनएसएस प्रमुख डॉ.आर.आर.देशमुख, एनएसएस कार्यक्रम अधिकारी डॉ.जी.सी.लोमटे यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली हे शिबिर यशस्वीपणे पार पडले.
