Faculty Development Program inaugurated at MGM University
Data has become immensely important in this digital age. However, it’s of no use without appropriate management and analysis. Proper data analysis also plays a crucial role in the fields of education and research. The opinion was expressed by Dr. Vilas Sapkal, Vice-Chancellor of MGM University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
Dr. Sapkal was speaking at the inauguration of the program of the five-day Faculty Development Program on ‘Big Data Analytics’ organized by Dr. G.Y. Pathrikar College of Computer Science and Information Technology at MGM University.
Faculty members, PhD/M.Phil./Researchers, professors, postgraduate students and entrepreneurs from the field can participate in the program. All participants will receive participation certificates at the end of the program.
Today, Prof. Dr. Sachin Deshmukh, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University and subject expert Sandeep Patil guided the participants in the first and second sessions respectively.
Registrar of MGM University, Dr. Ashish Gadekar, Principal Dr. Prati Deshmukh, and Coordinator Dr. Bharat Naiknaware along with professors and students were present on the occasion.
शिक्षण आणि संशोधन क्षेत्रात डेटा’चे अनन्यसाधारण महत्व : कुलगुरू विलास सपकाळ
छत्रपती संभाजीनगर, दि. १४ : शिक्षण आणि संशोधन क्षेत्रात डेटा’चे अनन्यसाधारण महत्व असून उपलब्ध माहितीचा योग्यप्रकारे वापर करणे आवश्यक आहे. विशेषत: डेटा अनॅलिसिस हे प्रत्येक क्षेत्राशी निगडीत असून सध्याच्या तंत्रज्ञानाच्या या आधुनिक युगामध्ये डेटा’चा वापर कार्यक्षमपणे करणे गरजेचे असल्याचे मत महात्मा गांधी मिशन विद्यापीठाचे कुलगुरू डॉ.विलास सपकाळ यांनी यावेळी व्यक्त केले.
एमजीएम विद्यापीठाच्या डॉ.जी.वाय. पाथ्रीकर संगणकशास्त्र व माहिती तंत्रज्ञान महाविद्यालयाकडून आयोजित करण्यात आलेल्या ‘बिग डाटा अनॅलिटिक्स’ या विषयावरील पाच दिवसीय फॅकल्टी डेव्हलपमेंट प्रोग्रॅम’च्या उद्घाटन कार्यक्रमात श्री. सपकाळ बोलत होते.
विद्यापीठातील आर्यभट्ट हॉलमध्ये दिनांक १४ मार्च २०२३ ते १८ मार्च २०२३ यादरम्यान हा फॅकल्टी डेव्हलपमेंट प्रोग्रॅम संपन्न होणार आहे. यामध्ये संबंधित विद्याशाखेचे विषयतज्ञ, पी. एच. डी./ एम. फील/ संशोधक, पदव्युत्तर शिक्षण घेणारे विद्यार्थी आणि या विषयाशी संबंधित उद्योजक सहभागी झाले आहेत. सहभागी होणाऱ्या सर्वांना शेवटच्या दिवशी सहभाग प्रमाणपत्र देण्यात येणार आहे.
आजच्या उद्घाटनपर कार्यक्रमाच्या पहिल्या सत्रात डॉ.बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर मराठवाडा विद्यापीठाच्या संगणकशास्त्र व माहिती तंत्रज्ञान विभागाचे विभागप्रमुख प्रा.डॉ.सचिन देशमुख तर दुसऱ्या सत्रामध्ये विषयतज्ञ संदीप पाटील यांनी मार्गदर्शन केले.
यावेळी कुलसचिव डॉ. आशिष गाडेकर, प्राचार्या डॉ. प्राप्ती देशमुख, समन्वयक डॉ. भारत नाईकनवरे, प्राध्यापक, विद्यार्थी व सर्व संबंधित उपस्थित होते.
