Department of Architecture at the MGM University under the umbrella of JNEC, was founded in 1989 and since then it is serving as a hub for creative learning. M. Arch postgraduate program in Environmental Architecture is approved by the Council of Architecture (COA),New Delhi
The program intends to upgrade the students’ knowledge to understand the relationship between architectural form, materiality and environmental performance. The respective design studio helps to build conscious approach to energy and ecology in built environment. Students are encouraged to do copious experiments for better learning and the respective infrastructure like environmental Lab, in-house weather station adds value to the understanding.
The IGBC (Indian Green Building Council) Students’ Chapter at JNEC further gives exposure and experience of current trends of the expertise. In addition to skilled staff, students get benefitted with productive site visits, seminars, expert lectures, inter- college discussions etc. The campus life is flourished with rich resources, infrastructure, clean and green ambience that gives rise to phenomenal learning experience.
