SITE VISIT- 4th year Construction
A site visit was conducted to pre-engineered building elements factory & Assembly of PEB (Pre-engineered buildings) was explained. Manufacturing of Pre-Fab Elements was explained at the factory by Er. Prashant Varma.

Exhibition in Kaladirgha
Department of architecture organized an exhibition of winning entries of J K Cement: ‘Architect of The Year’ award. It was inaugurated by Secretary Shri A N Kadam and former COA president Ar. Uday Gadkari was guest of honour. He also addressed the students of architecture on this occasion .

Study Tour 2019
We, the Department of Architecture JNEC planned study tour to Hampi, Badami from 5 th January to 10 th January. Focus of the study tour was to make students understand Indian Temple Evolution in Architecture. An Indologist Mr. Rishikesh Talwalkar accompanied and guided the whole tour. Each of the structures was explained in detail form history point of view and architectural point of view.

IGBC Chapter at JNEC
The IGBC Chapter was launched at Aryabhatta Hall, JNEC on 1st September 2018.
The Indian Green Building Council, part of Confederation of Indian Industry was formed in the year 2001.
The agenda of local chapter is to involve local agencies and institutions in the green building movement.
Student’s Achievements
Mr. Pranav Shankar, final year student, department of Architecture is selected as Student of the Year in JNEC college.
Ms. Prajakta Ghodchore has participated in badminton match at college level and won “doubles winner” and “singles runner-up).
Ms. Isha Mahajan has been awarded “Shiv Chhatrapati Award” one of the prestigious awards for a sports person in gymnastics.
Pune visit for Collaborative workshop on research
To collaborate with other institutes of similar field to get wide exposure to research field in the technical field of environment.
Objectives:
1. Get the exposure to other university research work and dissertation projects.
2. To understand the different methodology and new tools to do simulations or many other
evaluation methods.
3. To interact with experts of the field for all research work of the students.
Green Building Visit, Pune
To make students understand the whole process of making a building green and get the rating certification.
Study Tour 2019 (Puducherry)
The Department of Architecture JNEC planned study tour to Puducherry from 27 th January to 4th February 2020. Focus of the study was to get the hands-on Experience of Bamboo and Brick.
